BlackLine will be hosting eight virtual events for customers and potential customers in 2021, a change from in-person events of years past.

“Before, we were doing in-person events in various locations, often with the same content,” says Michael Shultz, BlackLine’s director of strategic accounting. “With virtual events, we’re not limited by geography. We can reach wider audiences and present a wider variety of topics.”

Best Practice Summits for Customers

Four Best Practice Summit (BPS) events will take place for customers in March, May, August, and September. They’ll highlight products, leading practices, and tips and tricks that BlackLine customers can use to extend their modern accounting experience.

This month, for example, topics include an overview of BlackLine’s new Cash Application and a guide to building the business case for process automation.

Finance Transformation Series Events for Potential Customers

For future customers, four Finance Transformation Series (FTS) events will detail everything from BlackLine’s automation solutions for specific accounting applications to hearing from existing customers on how they are getting the most out the platform. These events will also provide access to BlackLine experts and thought leaders.

The year’s first FTS event will show how BlackLine can be used in your lease accounting process to generate reports that are consistent, accurate, and on time.

Getting CPE/CPD Credit

The BPS and FTS events will offer CPE/CPD credits for those attending the live sessions. The virtual events will also be available as on-demand videos, but without the option to earn CPE/CPD credits. Sessions will typically run two to three hours.

These are in addition to BlackLine’s regular, one-hour webinars that are hosted throughout the year.

“Whether you’re a client or future client, there’s something here for you,” says Shultz. “Our customers are always asking about how to extend their BlackLine presence, and the BPS events give them plenty of information about doing just that.

“For prospective clients, the FTS events are great entry points for insight into the company, its products, and its product planning.”
