Job Summary

The Manager Professional Services is responsible for implementing the company's accounting software products. Responsibilities include leading and overseeing a team that will successfully implement the BlackLine standard products.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct and coordinate the operations of Client Implementations in EMEA.
  • Effectively leads a team of consultants to meet team and department goals: Determining staffing requirements, hire and manage staff, including establishing goals and expectations, and monitoring team performance.
  • Train and mentor new team members as they learn the BlackLine suite of products
  • Provide continuous support and required assistance to team and other groups in the services department, enhance team product knowledge
  • Coordinate and manage multiple concurrent implementation projects
  • Function as primary client and partner contact for escalations around implementations: Ability to answer client questions regarding software functionality throughout the implementation phase.
  • Ability to provide recommendations and best practices to clients on how to configure the standard BlackLine products.
  • Efficient and effective throughout implementation and other professional services projects for timely revenue recognition and maximum customer satisfaction
  • Project status reporting
  • Organize meetings with Implementations Consultants to monitor progress, active projects and capacity.
  • Manage process and best practices documentation
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Managerial Responsibility (if applicable)

  • Manage an individual team of Implementations Consultants and/or Senior, Principal, Technical Implementations Consultants
  • Can create his/her own processes within the team and make recommendations outside of the team.

Required Qualifications

Years of Experience:

  • Four years of experience designing and implementing programs in the accounting industry experience
  • Two plus years of accounting industry experience
  • Two plus years customer experience

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Technical skills, hard skills:
    • Strong technical problem-solving skills
    • Knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, Accounting software
    • Technology background / experience
    • Project management background / experience
    • Software implementation background / experience
  • Language skills:
    • English
  • Soft skills:
    • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written required

Other:

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in managing a team would be appreciated

 

Working Conditions

  • Approximately 15% to 30% travel
