Job Summary

The Senior Principal Solutions Consultant will be the trusted advisor of the EMEA Accounts Director/s in their activities aimed at increasing the BlackLine platform value. She/he will build with the regional Accounts Director/s, at a solution level, the right ecosystem that will maximize BlackLine success. The Senior Principal Solutions Consultant works within the existing (Large) Enterprise portfolio, in conjunction with the Regional Vice President sales team, to support them in driving enhanced platform adoption, nurturing customer relationships, progressing key opportunities and maximizing incremental license revenue for Blackline. The Senior Principal Solutions Consultant will also assist on Marketing Webinars and other external Webinars. They will also be integral to team mentorship and account planning.



  • Engage on (Large) Enterprise deals identified in the pipeline and participate in account planning
  • Consult on, evaluate the help needed in terms of BlackLine resources and leverage the knowledge of BlackLine offering to grow the
  • Help in positioning BlackLine and consult on value into the key
  • Lead and streamline knowledge sharing in
  • Mentor, innovate and empower the BlackLine Solutions Consulting team on (Large) Enterprise
  • Consult on and answer technical software and accounting
  • Perform needs analysis calls with prospective clients to understand their challenges thoroughly and accurately
  • Keep current on new product functionality and its proper use
  • Evangelize change and Solution Consulting progression in terms of new products, sales methodologies and go to market
  • Educate and deliver relevant and pertinent demonstrations and value workshops of all BlackLine modules based on prospect needs
  • Conduct Business Value Assessment workshops and complete ROI Analysis for prospective clients
  • Advise and assist with completion and review of requests for proposal and information (RFPs and RFIs)
  • Develop, circulate, and review BlackLine best practices, use case scenarios and prospective client stories both internally and externally (including community) to assist prospective clients with expanded use of application functionality
  • Prepare and deliver effective custom demonstrations using prospect data
  • Provide coverage, education, and application expertise by attending partner/client/prospect roundtables, conferences, and other events
  • Attend and participate in periodic local and global meetings / training sessions
  • Document relevant activities in Salesforce and other tools as assigned
  • Actively support the handover process to the implementation team
  • Assist on Marketing and external webinars either live or on recordings

 Required Qualifications

Years of Experience in Related Field: 5-10 Years Education: bachelor’s degree

Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience creating and delivering compelling presentations
  • Strong ability to demonstrate and persuade, using influencing skills and relating to prospective customers in a consultative manner
  • Confident working with and tailoring financial / accounting systems
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and trust with prospects / clients
  • Proven ability to understand and address partner / prospective client objections
  • Strong ability to match product functionality to the prospects’ business needs


  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Assist in coaching the wider Solution Consulting team
  • Demonstrate integrity, trustworthiness, and good



 Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, CIA or related professional accounting certification preferred
  • Prior experience with BlackLine software


Working Conditions

No special requirements but travel is generally up to 50% but may be higher
