Organisations are rapidly evolving to keep up with new technology, a complex global economy, and changing customer demand. InTheBlack is coming to Sydney on 22-23 May to deliver everything accounting and finance teams need to thrive in this modern age of change.

The conference brings together BlackLine users from all over the region to network and learn how to take their teams to the next level. You will gain insight into the most relevant industry topics, connect with BlackLine Experts at The Sandbox, and create lasting memories as you network with your peers during our evening entertainment.

Here’s what’s new this year, some of the agenda highlights, and how to turn your trip into a mini-getaway.

New This Year

This year’s conference is completely redesigned to focus on in-depth educational sessions and advanced training for experienced BlackLine users.

Advanced training workshops are new this year. Expert trainers will provide hands-on instruction and in-application experience as you dive deep into your BlackLine products.

Also, we’re bringing Bits back this year. These short 30-minutes sessions provide unique insight into BlackLine applications, with concise product demos and expert tips to help you get the most out of your BlackLine solutions.

A Few of the Highlights

BlackLine founder and CEO Therese Tucker’s keynote will explore the exciting - if sometimes frightening - changes in accounting and finance and reveal how you can move from surviving to thriving.

Annabelle Chauncy, Founder of the School of Life Foundation, will inspire you with her personal journey building schools in rural Uganda. Her keynote will show you why building the resilience you need to overcome setbacks starts by defining a clear vision that will keep you from giving up.

A powerful panel will showcase the challenges, mistakes to avoid, and success stories of customers who are leaders in innovative accounting. You will also learn best practices and innovative ways to use your BlackLine solutions from customer showcases with Charter Hall and ActewAGL.

You can view the full agenda here.

Make It A Getaway

Turn InTheBlack into a mini holiday and stay in Sydney for Vivid Light, which begins on 25 May. Australia’s largest festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and this year’s program of light installations, live music shows, and ideas talks and panels will be bigger than ever.

If you haven’t yet experienced Vivid, check out this first-timer’s guide.

The conference will take place near the historical part of town, so you can enjoy the views from the Harbour Bridge climb and explore the cobbled streets of The Rocks . You’ll also be close to Circular Quay and can take advantage of the ferry rides to explore other parts of Sydney, like Manly, with its laid-back beach vibe.

It’s Time to Thrive

Now is the time to explore the technology and trends that allow accounting and finance teams to thrive in this new era of continual change. You can become the catalyst your organisation needs by leading with a new perspective and innovative mindset.

Join Finance & Accounting thought leaders from across the Asia Pacific region for two full days of best practices, networking, and product deep dives. If you haven’t already registered, reserve your spot here.
