The first day of BeyondTheBlack 2022 is a wrap!

For those who attended a Pre-Conference Training Workshop, we hope you learned a lot and will be able to return home with actionable learnings to advance your company’s use of BlackLine and maximize fundamental system elements.

This year we hosted two sessions:

Calling All Administrators: Learn Vital Elements of Your BlackLine System—a collaborative exploration and evaluation of your critical BlackLine system settings and business processes to fully maximize fundamental system elements.

Jumpstart Your Journey with BlackLine Cash Application—an overview of BlackLine Cash Application. This interactive session walked participants through how this solution is used as an auto-matching and an exception processing tool to match incoming payments to existing invoices through relevant use cases.

The first afternoon of sessions was jam-packed. There were sessions covering F&A hot topics like Winning the War for Talent, 2023 Predictions for Finance and Accounting, and ESG. Your peers attended breakouts on Financial Close Management, Transformation and Change Management, and AR Automation. No matter your interests, you can be sure there was a session curated just for you.

How Aetna is Driving Continuous Innovation with Its Center of Excellence Model

To best serve the business, Aetna’s accounting and finance team established a Center of Excellence focused on transforming processes and reducing manual work. Since 2018, the Aetna COE has brought standardization, efficiency, and leading practices to the organization, and BlackLine solutions are enabling their success. In this session, attendees heard how Aetna is delivering measurable results, freeing up resources, and improving controls with BlackLine and its COE model.

How a REIT Uses BlackLine Task Management to Close (While Having a Little Fun, Too)

LXP Industrial Trust understands that innovation and technology are essential to growth and continued success. This session provided insights into how LXP utilized BlackLine Task Management to help transform and modernize its journey to modern accounting. LXP talked about how they created the BlackLine Intergalactic Highway for a fun way to encourage staff interaction and facilitate an accounting transformation from the traditional way of working to optimizing its accounting processes, thereby creating capacity for Accounting to focus on what matters most.
