BLACKLINE NAMED A ‘BEST PLACE TO WORK’ IN LOS ANGELES FOR 4TH STRAIGHT YEAR

Financial Controls and Automation Software Provider Recognized for Leadership, Culture, Work Environment, Training, Benefits and Overall Employee Engagement

LOS ANGELES – Aug. 19, 2016  BlackLine, a leading provider of financial controls and automation solutions that enable Continuous Accounting, was recognized this week as one of the Best Places to Work in Los Angeles for the fourth year in a row. The 10th annual ‘Best Places to Work in Los Angeles Awards’ was presented by the Los Angeles Business Journal and honored top local employers that participated in a detailed survey conducted by Best Companies Group. BlackLine took the No. 18spot on the list of large companies (over 250 employees) in the region.

Best Companies Group ranked local companies across eight key management categories: Leadership and Planning, Corporate Culture and Communication, Role Satisfaction, Work Environment, Relationship with Supervisor, Training, Development and Resources, Pay and Benefits and Overall Engagement. BlackLine achieved a nearly 90 percent or higher positive score in each category - with its overall ranking at 92 percent.

At the root of BlackLine’s culture is a simple mission statement: “Think. Create. Serve.” The results of the Best Companies survey validate BlackLine’s open culture and commitment to employee engagement. Some key outcomes from the 2016 survey include:

·97 percent of employees say their supervisor treats them with respect

·97 percent say they like the people they work with at BlackLine

·97 percent like the type of work they do

·96 percent feel BlackLine enables a culture of diversity

·94 percent of employees say the leaders of BlackLine care about employees’ well-being

·92 percent say they are able to maintain balance between their work and personal lives

The 10th annual Best Places to Work in Los Angeles Awards ceremony was held at the JW Marriott at L.A. Live on August 16th. The complete list, along with Best Companies’ description outlining the analytical process and criteria utilized to determine the ‘Top 100”, can be found in a special supplement running in the Monday, Aug. 22, issue of the LABJ.
