Job Summary

The Senior Solutions Marketing Manager, Customer Success plays a critical two-pronged role: leading, managing, and executing new product and services launches; and driving long-term customer value throughout their journey with BlackLine. You will serve as a key leader and an organizational nexus for successfully bringing new offerings to customers and ensuring their ongoing success in the market. You have proved your experience and skills at building relationships across an entire organization as you will collaborate with and obtain commitments from teams including sales, marketing, business development, product management, solutions management, implementations, customer success, and BlackLine’s executive management team to deliver measurable, market-moving outcomes. You are able to build and communicate comprehensive strategies while rolling up your sleeves to get the job done.

Roles and Responsibility (list in order of importance)  

    

Core Expertise & Responsibilities

  • Leading, managing, and reporting on new solution launches
  • Driving alignment across the organization for new solution and services launches by working with everyone from those responsible for developing new solutions to those responsible for selling them to customers and everyone in between
  • Developing a thorough understanding of BlackLine’s applications, markets, competitors, and client/user needs
  • Defining and crafting compelling product positioning & messaging for BlackLine’s solutions that drive ongoing customer value
  • Conducting customer and market research to guide creation and delivery of messaging and positioning
  • Author strategic messaging for sales, marketing, strategic alliances, value architecture, and business development
  • Analyzing and optimizing campaigns and products to ensure continued success and growth
  • Leading and creating content marketing initiatives such as white papers, ebooks, blog posts, landing pages, email copy, etc.
  • Creating content (webinars, case studies, brochures, fact sheets, white papers, presentations, website text etc.) to be used for a variety of audiences and target segments highlighting BlackLine strengths, features, and benefits
  • Arming Marketing with key market, persona and segmentation data so they can deliver highly targeted campaigns that convert, and enabling their optimization of the marketing funnel to provide high quality leads
  • Interviewing customers (and occasionally supplying them) for case study development
  • Providing customer-driven feedback on how marketing activity can be improved
  • Serving as a solution evangelist and public speaker and own content for live events globally for both internal and external activities

 

 

Launching New Market Solutions

  • Defining GTM launch strategy for external audiences from end-to-end
  • Aligning to Solutions Management and Sales Enablement teams to ensure successful internal training
  • Developing GTM kits including web pages, datasheets, sales decks, competitive battle cards, and other tools for Account Management and Customer Success teams to have value-driven conversations
  • Fueling strategic GTM teams with customer insights so they know what people do and don’t like, what there’s demand for, how users are using the product, and more
  • Providing in-depth data on things like a customer’s goals, pain-points, drivers, traits, and so on, so Account Management and Customer Success can provide tailored conversations and successfully handle complaints and objections
  • Researching market trends and interviewing customers to deliver succinct reporting and perspective that drive GTM strategy and launches
  • Ensuring all solution launches are tied to and achieve organizational goals
  • Helping to build out product roadmaps and our market-leading innovation narrative

 

Driving Ongoing Customer Success

  • Working in close partnership with Customer Marketing team to guide campaigns and messaging to ensure KPI achievements

 

Required Qualifications

Years of Experience in Related Field: 5+ years in product marketing with experience in managing product launches and customer marketing; prefer experience in cloud Finance & Accounting field such as with ERP, EPM, financial close, FP&A, disclosure management, or similar solutions

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with Oracle solutions including EBS, Fusion, ARCS, FCCS, EPRCS
