Every day of InTheBlack is packed with educational content and opportunities, which means you deserve to get out and have some fun in the evenings.
Let Us Welcome You to InTheBlack
It all begins with the welcome reception on Monday night. Allow us to formally welcome you to InTheBlack 2019 with an evening of food, drinks, and engaging conversation in the J.W. Marriott lobby.
This is an ideal time to network with your peers as we officially kick off the conference together.
Embrace the Crazy 80s
Be sure to pack your craziest 80s attire—we’re bringing the Spazmatics to InTheBlack on Tuesday night! The fun-loving cover band combines outstanding musicianship with creative flair and style for an evening of high energy and entertainment.
We’re going all out to bring you an 80s experience you’ll never forget, with themed food and drinks. We hope you’ll go all out with your best 80s outfits, too.
Get Down Tonight
Each year, The Close Party is a highlight. This year, the event will officially close out the conference on the last night, Wednesday, September 18.
You’ll have exclusive access to The Grammy Museum, which showcases interactive exhibits and memorabilia from artists that range from The Beatles to the Backstreet Boys.
From there, we’ll all head over to the Novo, a theater attached to The Grammy Museum, to get down with Grammy-winners KC & the Sunshine Band.
Birds of a Feather
The best conversations often happen over a shared meal. Add common interests, insights, and challenges, and you have the foundation for lasting connections.
This is why we’re hosting Birds of a Feather lunches during InTheBlack this year. You’ll have the opportunity to meet with InTheBlack attendees in your industry or who are using the same ERP on Tuesday, and attendees from the same region on Wednesday.
Network, Network, Network
All these events lead to what I believe is the number one reason you should attend InTheBlack: networking.
Each year, the conference provides plenty of opportunities to meet other customers like yourselves, experts who have implemented the BlackLine software, some who are exploring the software, and many, many others.
Whether it’s attending a breakout session, having a conversation in the hallway, or bumping into somebody at the Bull Market while you’re checking out your swag, there’s no shortage of opportunities to pick the brains of other folks who have the same challenges you’re facing on a daily basis—and are willing to share lessons learned on their BlackLine journey.
During my own experience as a customer just a few years ago, I attended a number of annual user conferences, and always found that the most helpful thing about the event was meeting other people.
Many of the relationships you form at the conference will extend far beyond the event itself. It gives you an opportunity to get some new business cards and reach out to fellow customers when you run into an issue.
Your BlackLine resources are always available, but there’s no better resource than other customers like you who are facing similar challenges and finding ways to solve those challenges with the BlackLine platform.
I really encourage you, if you’re going to the event, to make the most of it. Don’t just talk to your coworkers. Reach out, meet new people, enjoy those connections, and be sure to maintain them after the event as well.
There’s An App for That
Now that the entertainment element of your LA experience is set, let’s talk about the best way to stay on top of all the exciting things happening during the conference: the InTheBlack 2019 mobile app.
This gives you instant access to important updates, session abstracts, speaker bios, detailed maps, and social media activity. You can also engage fellow attendees in some friendly competition, and earn points to be entered to win a prize.
Get the app today to begin building your personalized agenda. Download the CrowdCompass AttendeeHub app from your app store and then search for the event InTheBlack 2019.
But first, you need to register for InTheBlack. Don’t miss this opportunity to advance your career alongside experts and like-minded accounting and finance professionals.
