LOS ANGELES – Aug. 27, 2015 – Finance controls and automation software leader BlackLine was honored last week as one of the ‘Best Places to Work in Los Angeles’ for the third year in a row. Recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal (LABJ) and Best Companies Group for being one of “the most successful in business and in nurturing their own,”BlackLine took the No. 24 spot on the list of large companies (over 250 employees) in the region. As LABJ’s editors succinctly put it, “The Best Places to Work in Los Angeles is an annual celebration of elite employers who have proven that they know what it takes to create environments where people love to come to work.”
Best Companies Group was responsible for the survey and analysis process for the Best Places to Work 2015 Los Angeles program, ranking local companies across eight key management categories: Leadership and Planning, Corporate Culture and Communication, Role Satisfaction, Work Environment, Relationship with Supervisor, Training, Development and Resources, Pay and Benefits and Overall Engagement. BlackLine achieved a nearly 90 percent or higher positive score in each category - with its overall ranking well into the 90th percentile.
At the root of BlackLine’s culture is a simple mission statement: “Think. Create. Serve.” The Best Companies survey overwhelmingly showed that BlackLine employees in all regions around the world are happy in their jobs and proud to fulfill this mission. Some key outcomes from the 2015 survey include:
93 percent of employees say the leaders of BlackLine care about employees’ well-being
93 percent feel BlackLine enables a culture of diversity
98 percent like the type of work they do
94 percent say they are able to maintain balance between their work and personal lives
92 percent say they look forward to going to work
92 percent of employees say they are proud to work at BlackLine
94 percent say they have fun at work
The survey also showed that BlackLine employees are proud of the many ways the BlackLine Finance Controls & Automation Platform helps lighten the accounting burden for customers, with 96 percent saying they would recommend the company’s products/services to a friend.
Under CEO and Founder Therese Tucker’s direction, BlackLine has quadrupled its head count in the last few years, adding many jobs in Los Angeles, as well as in London, Paris, Sydney, Malaysia and Vancouver, as the company continues on a fast-growth trajectory.
