BlackLine and Thomson Reuters to Present at SAP® Conference for Financial Shared Services in Miami

Operations manager from world’s leading source of intelligent information to discuss benefits achieved using the BlackLine Financial Close Suite for SAP® Solutions, an SAP-endorsed business solution

LOS ANGELES – Aug. 24, 2015 – Thomson Reuters will be presenting with finance controls and automation software leader BlackLine at the SAP® Conference for Financial Shared Services 2015 show being held this week in Miami. The presentation, to be given at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26th, is designed to show how global organizations operating in a shared services environment can optimize their account reconciliation and financial close processes using Enhanced Finance Controls and Automation (EFCA) software, such as the cloud-based BlackLine Financial Close Suite for SAP® Solutions.

Led by Bob Davenport, director of Finance Transformation and product expert for BlackLine, the presentation will focus on how finance managers and compliance officers can further ensure the integrity of their balance sheets – and ultimately financial reports – by implementing EFCA software to automate traditionally manual, labor-intensive and spreadsheet-driven account reconciliation and other financial close processes. Bob Abercrombie, CPA, director of Corporate Infrastructure & Operations for Thomson Reuters, will present a case study highlighting best practices and benefits of automating critical accounting processes using BlackLine alongside solutions from SAP.

With the number of companies moving to shared services environments (often globally) continuing to increase, it is increasingly critical for proper controls to be in place surrounding the financial close. In the session, entitled “Implementing Modern Finance in Your Shared Service Organization: a Client Perspective,” Abercrombie will share his insight on how large companies operating in shared services environments can communicate better, improve efficiencies, increase productivity, reduce bottom line costs and ultimately ‘close with confidence’ by implementing best practices such as automating traditionally manual account reconciliation and financial close processes.

Attendees will leave the session with insight into:
