BLACKLINE DEVELOPERS TO OFFER TIPS TO OTHERS PROVIDING SAAS SOLUTIONS TO LARGE, GLOBAL USER BASES
Calabasas, Calif. – Jan. 4, 2011 – Developers from financial software provider BlackLine Systems have been invited to speak alongside representatives from Microsoft this week at the Southern California .NET Developers Group (SoCalDotNet) meeting in Buena Park, Calif., a suburb just outside of Los Angeles.
BlackLine Senior Developers Victor Campos, Manu Sharma and George McKenzie will offer tips and tricks to help other .NET Framework Developers working in organizations, such as BlackLine, that are providing SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) solutions to large (and in many cases global) user bases. The BlackLine trio will focus on techniques and best practices to ensure consistent, optimal application performance in an environment where the user base is growing constantly and rapidly. Key topics/technologies covered will include SQL Server management objects, single sign-on and asynchronous programming.
Under CEO Therese Tucker’s direction, BlackLine has been on a steady growth path, recently recording two sequential years where the company doubled its revenues. BlackLine clients include such global powerhouses as Costco, eBay, and Northrop Grumman, with more than 35,000 total users of the BlackLine application going into 2011.
SoCalDotNet is part of Ineta, a worldwide organization that was started and sponsored by Microsoft shortly after the .NET Framework was released to market. Through regional developer groups such as SoCalDotNet, Ineta provides peer-based educational and promotional support for Microsoft technologies.
