BlackLine Makes Red Herring 100 Global List of the Top Private Tech Companies in the World
ANNUAL AWARD RECOGNIZES THE “MOST PROMISING” VENTURES DRIVING THE FUTURE OF TECHNOLOGY
Calabasas, Calif. – Jan. 27, 2011 – Global media company and leading technology industry news source Red Herring has honored financial software provider BlackLine Systems as a winner of its prestigious Red Herring 100 Global award – an annual ranking of the 100 most ‘innovative and promising’ private technology companies in the world. The Global Award ranking follows BlackLine’s mid-year recognition as a Red Herring 100 North America Winner.
Red Herring’s Top 100 Global list has become a mark of distinction for identifying promising new companies and entrepreneurs. Red Herring editors were among the first to recognize that companies such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo, Skype, Salesforce.com, YouTube and eBay would change the way we live and work.
The Red Herring editorial team selected the Global 100 Winners from a pool of more than 1,200 leading companies spanning the globe. The nominees were evaluated on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technology innovation, quality of management, execution of strategy and integration into their respective industries.
Red Herring then also looked at the actual track record and standing of each company to see past the “buzz” and make the list an invaluable instrument for discovering and advocating the greatest business opportunities in the global technology community.
Under CEO Therese Tucker’s direction, BlackLine has been on a steady growth path, recently recording two sequential years where the company doubled its revenues. In 2010, BlackLine added a number of large companies to its client list including H.J. Heinz Co., Diamond Resorts International, StarKist and U.S. Foodservice.
