Calabasas, Calif. – May 27, 2010 – Global audit, consulting and financial advisory firm Deloitte is teaming up with financial software provider BlackLine Systems to host a Texas Region BlackLine Client Roundtable on the benefits of automating the financial close and reporting processes. Discussion topics will focus on the importance of financial close optimization and accurate reporting to help overcome growing challenges for the accounting department amidst today’s tough economic climate.
Coleman Rowland, Deloitte partner and finance transformation leader, and Andres Baquerizo, senior manager of finance transformation at Deloitte, will open the event leading a session on “The Last Mile of Finance.”
Accounting and finance department executives from select regional BlackLine client companies, including insurance industry giant American General Life, will speak on creative ways they’ve used BlackLine’s account reconciliation and financial close software suite to reduce risk while increasing visibility and control over the financial close process.
The BlackLine Texas Client Roundtable, one of a series of regional Roundtables planned for the year, will be a half-day event, from 7:30 a.m. to noon, on Friday, June 4, 2010, at Deloitte’s offices in downtown Dallas. Accounting, finance, audit and compliance executives from local BlackLine client companies are registered to attend.
Attendees will be eligible for CPE (continuing professional education) credits through Deloitte, an American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)-certified training provider.
