Calabasas, Calif. - October 12, 2009 - Financial software provider BlackLine Systems has expanded the customer support capability for its flagship account reconciliation and financial close software suite, naming Kelly Darren, CPA, as director of support services.
Ms. Darren is a certified public accountant (CPA) with more than 15 years of experience in the accounting industry. Darren started her career in audit at Deloitte & Touche, LLP, before transitioning into private industry where she held senior financial management positions at several large corporations including Chrysler, Takata and Armstrong-White.
Darren has prior experience using BlackLine software. With previous software experience and a CPA degree, Darren brings a new dimension to BlackLine’s support team in terms of truly understanding the needs of BlackLine’s clients.
Global integrated circuits and semiconductor manufacturer International Rectifier has been a BlackLine customer for a year and a half, using the software across19 sites.
“Though we’ve had virtually no technical support issues, when we do call BlackLine, the support services team is always very responsive and helpful,” Joe Sorrentino, senior manager, corporate accounting, International Rectifier, said. “It’s great to know that, more often than not, there’s another accounting professional on the other end of the line who understands the entire accounting process and ‘gets’ what we are trying to accomplish with the software.”
Donna McCollum, who previously headed up BlackLine’s customer support effort, has been appointed as director of quality assurance going forward. Prior to joining BlackLine, Ms. McCollum was manager of financial technology at SunGard Treasury Systems.
