For some of us time off will bring it that much more near.

I thought that right now would be time to let you all know,
how much its appreciated your help, wisdom and cheer.

There is only one faux pas left that still brings me some fear
but just let us say that to name all whom to thank would take till next year!

The cases, the questions, the phone calls don’t stop,
you must often feel like your wiping up the sea with a mop.

But calm you folks are when the phones must make such a
clatter and soon someone calls me and explains what’s the matter.

And I am just one of many who call; asking and asking another question to all.

About their implementation:

“Our implementation of BlackLine was fast and easy.

For a period of several weeks, we prepared for the implementation with the installation of test and production servers dedicated to BlackLine. Based on information provided by BlackLine, we generated a few flat files to capture the information regarding personnel, entities and account assignments.

The BlackLine team arrived on November 14, 2005 to install the software. They worked directly with our IT folks to load the software and resolve a few operating system details. On the 15th, they worked with our ERP people to develop a few queries to extract data from Oracle on a routine basis.

The implementation was complete in the afternoon of November 15th. We had a training class on the morning of November 16th for most of the accounting folks. The members of the team that could not attend the training session were trained by members who had been trained.

BlackLine’s team left after noon on the 16th. The physical implementation and training took about 2.5 days. Each of my employees that are responsible for account recons (most of them) were required to use BlackLine to re-reconcile 5 accounts that they had reconciled on paper or in Excel for the month of October 2005. Some of the people completed that task on the 16th but others took up to a week to allocate the time for the testing. We went live at the beginning of November and have used the system continuously since.”
