This video training class is also available as live training.

This is a comprehensive training class for new BlackLine users. In this accountant-oriented program, we review:

Basic account reconciliation techniques
All six standard reconciliation templates
Tips to make a smooth transition from Excel-based reconciliations to BlackLine
Shortcuts for efficient use of BlackLine

This class is recommended for all new BlackLine users, including approvers and reviewers. You can’t manage what you don’t know!

Administrator Training (2 Hours)

This video training class is also available as Live Training

The complete training class for Administrators. The session has three parts:

Local Administrator (45 minutes)
System Administrator (15 minutes)
Business Administrator (60 minutes) Learn all the features of administering the BlackLine application. Business and System Administrators should attend the complete class – Local Administrators can leave after the first 40 minutes.

Advanced Accountant Training (1 Hour)

This class will cover some of the advanced user functionality available in the BlackLine Application. This hour session will cover:

Auditor Overview – Using BlackLine as a Key Control for Financial Reporting (1 Hour)

How can auditors use BlackLine to confirm that the account reconciliation process is a key control? We recommend you have them attend this class to review how the BlackLine process works and what key reports they can use to identify your strengths.

Multi-Currency Functionality (1 Hour)

This class will review how the multi-currency functionality works in the BlackLine Application.

This one hour session will cover:

Account, Functional and Reporting Currency
Various Currency Settings
Currency Rates Import
Multi-Currency GL Import

Supervising and Managing Using BlackLine (1 Hour)

Use the filtering ability of the account grid to work in a real-time environment to manage the reconciliation process. Review reports that identify problems, quantify potential reporting errors and create opportunity for process improvement.

Task Management – Controlling the Steps of Month End Close (1 Hour)

Use the Task Management function of BlackLine to control key month end processes – such as reporting checklist activities. Review the process of setting up task levels and various tasks, then review reporting and monitoring capabilities.

Transaction Matching (1 Hour)

Learn how this module can assist in improving the accuracy and efficiency of completing reconciliations where high volumes of transactions are involved. Create match sets, establish pass rules and discuss options for handling exceptions.

Using Auto-Certification and Team Functionality (1 Hour)

Set up Teams to provide flexibility in getting reconciliations completed on a timely basis. Use Auto-Certification to improve efficiency and accuracy for specialized types of reconciliations.
