Therese Tucker, CEO

Therese Tucker is the founder of BlackLine. A self-proclaimed geek, she loves applying technology to real world business problems. She’s been blessed with the best life anyone could ask for—a husband and two kids (both nearly adults) and two cats that love her, a fun job, and great health. The best part of her job is working with fun creative people at BlackLine, taking great care of BlackLine’s customers and thinking up innovative enhancements to the BlackLine application. Therese grew up on a small farm in Illinois, the youngest of four girls. Her parents strongly encouraged her to take both typing and shorthand in high school so that she could at least work as a secretary until she got married. The typing class was terrifically helpful when she decided to get her degree in computer science and math. She moved to CA after college to be an engineer and to avoid terribly cold winters. She’s lived in CA ever since.
