Caitlin Steel, Director of Product Management, CPA

An exciting job offer after the internet bubble broke brought Caitlin Steel to the LA area, where she not only fell in love with, but also developed an appetite for the outdoor activities that make year-round sunshine so enjoyable. She also finds time to contribute to her favorite charities and takes her two Lab Rescue dogs for regular runs to keep them healthy and fit.

Starting out as a bookkeeper for the family manufacturing business at 14 gives Caitlin years of insight into how a company operates.  Her career has included a diverse set of responsibilities in multiple industries: running manufacturing operations, SOX audits and as a former CFO.  As she watched her family business struggle and eventually find its way, she became an advocate for complete disclosure as well as using numbers to evaluate what one may otherwise be too biased to see clearly. Caitlin has been instrumental in bringing common sense and clarity to some of the start-ups in the dot.com craze, as well as streamlining operations of a brick-and-mortar retail shop that found itself thrown into the internet age. Caitlin is a Certified Public Accountant, with an MBA from Golden Gate University.
