BlackLine Systems Concludes Successful User Group Conference in Santa Monica, California

CALABASAS, CA February 28, 2007 – Therese Tucker, CEO of BlackLine Systems, announced today that the BlackLine User Group meeting in Santa Monica, California was highly successful.

Representatives from 15 different companies met for three days at the Loews Hotel in Santa Monica. Between sessions on best practices, future enhancements, and support, users spent time networking and learning about the processes that have been incorporated into the leading companies each represented.

Over excellent food and ocean views, users were able to learn about the challenges of improving the entire close process and how GL Compliance Manager could be more effectively utilized in their organizations.

Tammie Coley, Director of Accounting for Cox Communications, presented a two hour case study on the implementation and usage of GL Compliance Manager within her organization. She tackled multiple issues in terms of how to increase the success of adoption, how to best proceed with rollout, how automation has standardized their reconciliations and made their process more efficient, an improved month end close, a more effective audit process and other relevant issues. At one point during Tammie’s presentation, the entire group gave a spontaneous round of applause for the excellent support that the BlackLine team provides to all of its clients.

Lee Dittmar, leader of the Enterprise Governance Consulting Practice and co-leader of Deloitte’s integrated services for Governance, Risk and Compliance was BlackLine’s keynote speaker. Lee spoke on “Raising the Bar on Governance, Risk and Compliance.” His interesting and thought-provoking presentation was well-received and thoroughly discussed over the next three days.

For entertainment, BlackLine provided perfect beach weather, a field trip to the taping of the Jay Leno show, a how-to class for yoga at your desk for stress relief, and Spanish classical guitars at the dinner reception. A professional photographer provided each attendee with a takeaway of a professional photo both in hard copy and high resolution digital for future personal and professional use.

In the feedback survey conducted at the end, each and every category received an overall excellent rating. Many written-in comments expressed the high value that users felt they had received from the conference. Users of GL Compliance Manager are enthusiastically looking forward to next year’s User Group Meeting.
