Therese Tucker, Chief Executive Officer
Prior to founding BlackLine Systems, Therese was the Chief Technology Officer of SunGard Treasury Systems. In this role, Therese headed up Product and Development for SunGard’s five corporate treasury systems, managing over 200 people in six locations in four countries. Therese also staffed and managed SunGard’s eTreasury development, created an XML standard for treasury, and met with Treasurers of Fortune 100 companies to communicate corporate vision as it pertained to the use of technology. Prior to her role as Chief Technology Officer, Therese had been head of development of the Global Trader system, an institutional trading and portfolio management system acquired by SunGard in 1997. Outside of her career with SunGard, Therese developed Tax Answer Scenarios, a tax planning software product that has been marketed to over 1,000 tax preparers and CPA’s annually since 1998. Tax Answer Scenarios is the Recipient of Accounting Today’s Top 100 Software Products Award. Therese has a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from University of Illinois.

Mario Spanicciati, Vice President, Operations
Mario joined BlackLine from the Merrill Lynch Private Banking and Investment Group in 2004. At Merrill Lynch, he worked as an analyst on a team of private banking advisors with over $3 Billion under management. He was responsible for re-engineering workflow and processes associated with client reporting, compliance, presentation management, and systems implementation. He was also responsible for performing research and due diligence related to investments through third party money managers including hedge funds. Mario has lead the implementations of BlackLine’s software at companies like Chrysler, HealthSouth, BellSouth and eBay. Mario previously worked at J.P. Morgan Partners where he performed analysis and valuation of a private equity fund of funds portfolio valued at over $12 Billion. Mario received his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.

Jeff Adler, CPA & MBA, Vice President and Product Expert
Jeff’s career includes 6 years on the audit staff at PWC and over 30 years of controllership, financial management and consulting experience for both privately held and publicly traded companies. His duties included the following:
- Controller-Treasurer for a publicly traded multi-state real-estate developer.
- Manager of Financial Reporting for a publicly traded foreign owned oil company that was primarily a refiner and marketer.
- CFO-Treasurer-Controller for a medium size, privately held recycling company that was eventually sold to a large waste company.
- District Controller for a large waste management company. The district had revenue of $600 million. Supervisory responsibilities included 14 division controllers.
- Independent financial consultant working with a diverse client base providing assistance with systems implementation, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and establishment of managerial accounting procedures and information gathering.

Deborah Doneen, Vice President of Sales
Deborah was the Vice President of Sales Operations for SunGard Treasury Systems. In that role, Deborah helped to coordinate and organize the sales processes of four different domestic and international companies that were acquired by SunGard. Her responsibilities included organizing the sales process, forecasting revenue for the organization, reviewing contracts, generating and tracking the sales staff’s commission payments and doing initial revenue recognition. Prior to this role, Deborah handled different roles in sales, customer support and implementations for the ResIQ product line, a corporate treasury management software solution, for ADS Associates. Deborah has a B.S. in Animal Science from the University of California, Davis.

Heather Vertin, Director, Support Services
With over 10 years of experience in the accounting software industry, Heather Vertin brings a multitude of talents to BlackLine Systems. As a consultant for a mid market accounting package, she started her career specializing in financial reporting and quickly expanded to full product support. Heather broadened her experience to support the full product lifecycle from sales and training to customization and technical assistance. Besides supporting the core accounting application, she has been involved with integrating many third party applications. Heather graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and now resides in suburban Washington DC.

Greg Burns, Director, Development
With years of experience in development for standard web, Web 2.0 and windows applications, Greg joined BlackLine at its inception as a Systems Analyst. In his prior position as an Assistant Director, he was responsible for project management at a large non-profit environmental organization, Clean Water Action. In this capacity he also trained teams and managed staff. With his recent promotion at BlackLine, Greg combines his management expertise with his extensive programming experience in overseeing BlackLine’s developers.

Charlie Reyerson, Director, Development and Enterprise Implementations
Charlie Reyerson graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles with degrees in both Computer Science and Astrophysics. While employed in the aerospace industry, she acquired her Six-Sigma specialist certification by learning the techniques of maximizing productivity through process improvement. Charlie joined BlackLine in January 2006 as a multifaceted Director of product development and implementations.

James Baez-Silva, Director, OnDemand Implementations
Prior to joining BlackLine Systems, James worked at Centre Pacific LLC as a financial analyst. He was responsible for identifying investment opportunities in the primary and secondary markets, conducting fundamental investment analysis including industry and credit-specific research, due diligence, financial modeling, and relative value analysis across sectors and capital structures. James also monitored a portfolio of companies across multiple industries with aggregate capital commitments totaling upwards of $250 million. James received both his Masters of Accounting and Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
